Emily & Michael
What a great day we had at Emily & Michael’s wedding.
Creamfields was on at Daresbury and we had to negotiate Runcorn bridge, so set off rather earlier than normal for a 12 o’ clock wedding (9am!!!). Got there just gone 9.30am, yes too early!!! Slight detour and had a starbucks whilst we waited for the Church to open. Lovely Methodist Church – modern design, surround by a housing estate, so plenty of neighbours to watch the joyous occasion!
The Church started filling up fast, friends, neighbours, family and of course fellow Church members. Groom and party arrived all looking very daper! Then the bridesmaids in fantastic sage green silk dresses – amazing. Then the entrance we had all been waiting for – the bride! Emily looked stunning – beaming from cheek to cheek, so relaxed, smiling and chatting to everyone.
Once inside the ceremony began – so relaxed, we had the choir, a band playing and singing that Emily plays with, a lovely minister – Jackie – our only concern, the groom was rather hot – fingers crossed and prayers answered, he didnt faint!
Few photos outside, then off to the wonderful Statham Lodge, Warrington. The sun was shining and it was great as usual for the outside photos. The room, well it looked amazing, not just the usual round tables either. Round tables in the middle and then four long rectangle tables on the outside. The flower decorations were stunning, simple and elegant.
Receiving Line, then onto the speeches. Mother of the Bride, Father of the Groom, The Groom, The Bride and of course the two Best Men complete with projector and photo slide show! Great and some lovely touching words spoken by all.
First Dance – again everything about today was done differently. One thing that we loved was at the end of the first dance, the bridesmaid bouquets were given to the Grandmothers. Then Emily and Michael invited all married couples on the dance floor. Then at intervals, Emily announced if you had been married for less than 5 years, sit down, less than 10 years sit down, etc etc. Until we came to two couples left with 50 years marriage. The longest couple married by days, received Emily’s bouquet. What a lovely, kind and thoughtful thing to do.
All in all, another fantastic wedding and so very proud to be part of their special day. This entry was posted in Blog and tagged Cheshire, Church, Disc, DVD, marriage, Statham Lodge, Video, videography, Warrington, Wedding, Wedding Videographer, Wedding Videographers, Weddings.
